Cutech 40160H

The above joiner just arrived. It was easy to put together but the pictures in the manual leave something to be desired. I purchased it on the Chirstmas Sale for 225.00 with free shipping, plus I purchased the carbide blades. I basically just squared up the fence and then adjust the pointer on the deep to zero. I had a rough edge of Oak right by it when I got it ready to test. I set it at 1/32 of an inch. I past the edge thru it about 6 times and is was super smooth and perfectly square. I have not put the carbide blade in yet and do not plan to, until the one that cam with it wear out.

For $225 it seem to do and unbelievable job. I am just getting into woodworking as I just retired. I will leave another review in a couple of weeks after I make some cutting boards with it. Right now it gets a 5 star, super compact, but exactly what most of us hobbiest need because of lack of space. Appears to be better choice then getting one of the old Craftsmans that are for sale everywhere and they want almost as much as this one. The cutting design seems very innovative where is you are going to be doing edges like me you do not have to replace the cutter along the entire six inches. Just the ones that get used.

Cutech Jointer

It seems I'm at the end of the line here but I've had my Cutech 6 inch Jointer for about ten years now and its working the same as it was new. I've been making cutting boards and Charcuterie boards for most of those years. It works today as if it was brand new. I recommend it to any wood worker who needs one. Best quality and reasonable price.

Cutech 6" jointer

Very impressed how the jointer performs. I've inherited this jointer from my father-in-law that he had stored for couple of years. Reached out to customer service and they were very polite, generous and super helpful. Send me replacement tables without any hesitation.

Best Jointer Ever!

I build exotic hardwood cutting boards for sale as a hobby, and use some of the hardest exotic woods you can think of. Many of the boards are initially either 4/4 or 7/8" thickness planks, requiring serious steps to make a good straight edge. With the carbide inserts, this machine saves me time & effort, and does a fantastic job. I highly recommend this product.

Unusable

Completely useless. I know many other reviews have high praise but I can't recommend ever buying this jointer. Wish I had spent some more money on a better quality unit. I've now had this for 3 years and have never been able to get decent cuts. The first infeed table was significantly out of plane. A replacement was easy and inexpensive but I've now spent over 8 hours trying to get the two tables coplanar and the fence square with no luck. I've read the manual more times than I can count and have watched every YouTube video I could find but no luck. Every board I have jointed results in worse bowing than when I started. I give up.
