Solid Step Up To My Woodworking Hobby

I ordered the jointer (and the cast iron fence) in preparation for my latest build (a console table). It was delivered on schedule and set up was pretty easy. My primary goal for the jointer was to create better seams for glue ups, but I also wanted to experiment with my own surfacing, hopefully allowing me to spend less on wood material. My first glue up went well, although I needed several passes to get things right (learning curve). Based on local pricing, I spent 40% less on white oak, when compared to buying pre-surfaced wood from a "boutique" wood supplier. The jointer performed well, cutting 4 and 8 quarter wood without much load on the motor. I'm still learning, but the jointer has earned a permanent place in the shop.

Solid for the price

I bought this jointer for DIY woodworking projects, like cutting boards and floating shelves, and it works very well for what I do. Happy I got an 8 inch and not a 6 inch.

This jointer is perfect for my small shop. It easily cuts through hardwood like a hot knife through butter. It has definitely exceeded my expectations.

Excellent right out of the box!

I purchased this based on recommendations from others, over certain other name brands and couldn't be happier with it. It was extremely easy to get setup right out of the box and I didn't need to really make any big adjustments. I was able to start using it within about 20 minutes and so far, it's done anything i've thrown at it with zero issues. I was hesitant about getting the coated aluminum tables instead of the cast iron ones but again, I don't have any complaints, it is very sturdy and material glides very well on it. I did purchase the additional fence supports for it and feel like that was a good decision. I'll likely end up getting the taller, cast iron fence they offer down the road at some point, but for now, and for what I will be using this for, it meets all of my needs and has plenty of power and provides a great cut. Flat boards rock!!! ;-) Really happy with the quality of this little unit and am happy I went with CUTECH!

Machine cuts very clean almost to a 220 grit finish and the great dust collection ability was a pleasant surprise. Very happy with it. Well done Cutech!
