13 inch Two-Speed Spiral Cutterhead Benchtop Planer - CUTECH 40800H

I had never owned a planer before so when I was ready to add one to my new workshop, I did an exhaustive research into all my options. Sure, the Dewalt is popular but reviews were mixed. Came across Cutech and was impressed with all the features and not one bad review. Tested it out on a dozen 2 x 6 poplar planks and it performed flawlessly. Couldn't be happier with my decision.

Nicely constructed machine. Intuitive to run. Haven't used it in home project production yet, but test runs of material after set up were very promising and certainly as advertised as to quality of finish. Set was very minimal and without struggle. Looking forward to commencing years of continuous use. Replacing a 20 year old Rigid planer.

Used a Rigid planer for years, finally tired of hss knives. Cutech is based off Rigid planers.
Package arrived in exceptional protective packaging. Set up and was cutting in 30 mins.
Used a couple times but finish is fantastic and dual speeds a big plus.

What a machine! I read all the reviews I could find on planers and determined the Cutech was one of the best. This planer is an upgrade from a Delta that I had for many years. No comparison! Quieter, more powerful, better results. The two speed feature is the deal maker for me. I work a lot with quarter sawn white oak and the Cutech leaves it smooth as glass - no tear out! Buy it; you'll never regret it.

I’ve only used this planer a couple of times so far, but I am happy with the quality of the cut, with barely noticeable snipe. The only negative I have seen is that it does throw out a little bit of cutting debris from the infeed side, but not a big deal.
